The big problem with all those oversized, very cool old fashioned incandescent light bulbs you see in every second design magazine is that they’re expensive and they don’t last very long.

Quite apart from the fact they give off a lot of heat, use too much electricity and are bad for the environment. But hey, we love them, so what’s the solution?

Volker Haug has come up with an ingenious solution that keeps all the design hallmarks of the original incandescent varieties, but utilised new, low wattage, more environmentally efficient technologies. So heralds the unusual but stylish marriage of LED technology and traditional styling.

The wonderful thing about the clear lamps in particular, is that the deign of the central LED ‘filament’ aims to replicate the look of a vintage incandescent filament lamp, so you now have a new energy efficient alternative that looks great too!

His new clear filament style and opal LED lamps are now available in edison style and 125mm round, with a screw-in or bayonet fitting.

They can be bought as as is or as an included part of a pendant/wall/table design purchase. They come with a 24 month warranty, and are all 6 Watts (=40Watt output).

This villa is located not far from Göteborg. It was built for a family with two children and the interior is light, modern and colorful.
