This small cabin, called Nido was designed and built on the shores of a lake in Finland by Robin Falck.
It was self-designed, though with a little help from some friendly architects, and whilst Falck says it took a while to get everything the way he wanted, the end result is a perfect hideaway.
Finland’s planning laws mean that cabins and small houses can be built without planning permission if they are under 9.3 sq metres (96 square feet). On top of this he also managed to squeeze in a loft space with a sleeping and storage area as well as a kitchen & bathroom and a great outdoor deck.
Falck was able to build his mini-cabin using largely recycled and found building materials. The complete cabin cost just over $10,000.
Very cute!
