Tyson Attwell is a Designer & Artist whose work I really like. You can see a previous post on his Terracotta Lamp here.
The Ocean’s Edge dining table is part of an ongoing body of work in which he is exploring the utilisation of a CNC router to sculpt waveforms moving across planar wood surfaces. The undulating surface that rises out of and dips into the center of the table was developed in CAD by ‘lofting’ a sequence of tide curves sourced from the entrance of the San Francisco Bay. The table is made from Sugar Maple and Black Walnut.
A limited number of his pieces are available for sale on line and he also is available for commissions.
